The United States of America, under the leadership of President Obama has decided to Place Israel on its knees. Why is this? Some say it’s because President Obama and his staff do not wish to upset the Mideast peace process, but they also fear a military attack on Iran may come as the United Nations Security Council takes a strong stance against the Iranian nuclear weapons program. What is really unfortunate is that the United States is taking sides in this Middle East conflict when it should be helping and pulling together the nations of the Mideast. And Israel is doing the identical thing.
Lately we heard a lot of discuss the Six-Day War. Some believed that it was a great omen for the Jews after the destruction of their temples in Jerusalem during the Jewish Purim. Really it was the sixth and fifth days of this war. Many who sided with Israel during the Six Day War felt that they were going to be taken back in six days, and while this war did achieve that, it had been the opposite, the Jews took over the occupied land.
Okay, so, here is what I believe happened in the 1967 war. Israel attacked the oil fields close to the Egyptian border, the Egyptians called the attack an aggression and the UN said that it was improper. Israel maintained they had every right to go into Egypt and assault those facilities they felt threatened.
When the United States took a harder position, especially after seeing what the Israelis did in the 1967 war, many came to believe that the Jews would have no rights to go to the Temple Mount, that can be a symbol for Christianity. In reality they took the offensive and known as the UN to stop talking about the matter. This caused a Significant rift between the United States and Israel, and contributed to the Six Day War. I feel that the rift was caused by the myth that Israelis would have no faith to the holy land.
Now lets get to what really happened in the Six Day War. The Israeli Defense Force, known as the Israel Defense Force, was composed of largely modern tanks and mechanized soldiers, with just a small proportion of its powers being men in the field. Most of their forces were obtained from other divisions of the Israeli army. Also, on the 6th day of the war, an armored tank accidentally struck an undercover civilian’s car, killing it and injuring the twenty-two-year-old boy within the automobile. The United Nations set pressure on both sides to investigate, while the Israeli Intelligence Services took custody of the human body.
Following the incident that the Egyptians went to war with Israel, using their newly acquired nuclear weapons to strike at Israel. Israel quickly responded with a huge aerial and ground assault, using fighter planes, helicopter gunships, and naval vessels to proceed after the Egyptian forces head on. The United States and her allies were hoping to get the Egyptians to surrender, but she refused and instead allied herself with the new average leader Muamar el-Khoury. Israel’s air force also shot down one of the Egyptian jet fighters, which resulted in more escalation in fighting.
