WWE Hell in a Cell 2017: Matches, Predictions & Interpretation

WWE Hell in a Cell 2017: Matches, Predictions & Interpretation

It's also apparent why you don't see matches this brutal on a more frequent basis. However, it's gotten to a cringe-worthy point where it's just gotten embarrassing.

So, while there are a few more matches on the card, these four should be the most impressive. Matt Wilansky has the recap, and ESPN Stats & Info's Sean Coyle rates the match on a scale of one-to-five. Other highlights included Gable planting his heels to self-correct after a missed backwards moonsault (only to follow it quickly with a second, successful attempt) and a generally strong example of in-ring storytelling communicating the broad idea of an "in-sync" team (Gable & Benjamin) triumphing over an out-of-step duo (Hype Bros) who can't get on the same page. He climbed the cell, again, but jumped and took a big leap of faith. It's how Shane matches go, and it's why I look back fondly on his encounters with the likes of Kurt Angle, Randy Orton and A.J. Styles. This match was kind of boring as Rusev was dominating the majority of it in slow fashion. Rusev has been pretty bland since he came over to Smackdown and he has yet to do anything convincing.

Nakamura should have got the win and the title when he landed a Kinshasa on Mahal's head.

All the other jabronis on the SmackDown roster will just have to deal with it. Sasha wrote out in Japanese "The cute clown" and Asuka responded with "I want to give you a message", which seemed to really confuse Sasha.

NOLAN HOWELL: Rusev wins with help from "The Artist" Aiden English. "Hell in a Cell" is back with more wrestling action. Charlotte Flair might walk out as the new WWE Women Champion.

After shocking the world and beating Naomi for the SmackDown Women's Championship at SummerSlam, Natalya successfully defended the title and opened up a spot for a new challenger. While Natayla hasn't been champion long, there wasn't anyone else that was gonna take the title off of her anyway. Was all this a sign of a title change to come? The Usos have expertly taken to their roles as a heel team and have evolved from their high flying, crowd pleasing nature into a flawless foil for the upbeat New Day. This match was one of the best Hell in a Cell matches I have seen in recent memory.

Indians DH Edwin Encarnacion exits with injury
But it was still enough to get a run on the board. "We're still living down past year " says Wayne Munthe. Sabathia admitted some surprise about being lifted there, but had confidence in the Yanks' bullpen.

Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski ruled out vs. Buccaneers
Chris Hogan simply has a knack for getting open all the time , adding 74 yards and a touchdown on eight grabs. Bad against a team that was allowing an average of 32 points a game and an average of 394.3 yards.

Red Sox infielder carried off the field by manager John Farrell
When Price returned from his latest malady in mid-September, the Red Sox made a decision to try something different. Houston will counter with its pitching rotation which was boosted by the acquisition of Justin Verlander midseason.

Not to digress, but I could see some potential down the road, in having Dolph and Bobby forming a tag team, as both are colorful, charismatic and more than versatile enough to work as either faces or heels.

They risked their bodies - flying out of the ring on multiple occasions to slam each other into the cell.

The two cell matches were great.

Once again these two teams battle for the Smackdown Tag Team Championships. The match as a whole was just tiresome and boring. If you ask me, this is a coin flip, because there's more than a decent case for either team. Here's what I'll say. I can't help but think they missed the chance for an awesome finish when Rusev almost slapped the Accolade on from out of nowhere. Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin have recently become a tag team and they are trying to strengthen their chemistry while climbing the ladder of the tag team division.

The Usos and The New Day, no doubt that they are the best tag team in WWE right now. The Lone Wolf took advantage of some bedlam in the ring at the end of the match, as Tye Dillinger was pinned thanks to a Phenomenal Forearm finding its mark and Styles being evicted from the ring.

I still didn't expect it to happen, which made the execution so brilliant.
