Sam Bradford won't play Sunday, is getting second opinion on his knee

Sam Bradford won't play Sunday, is getting second opinion on his knee

The Bucs went to Rodgers when they had the ball on the goal line Sunday, and he was able to power it in for the score.

Case Keenum will start Sunday against the Buccaneers, as he did last week at Pittsburgh when Bradford was ruled out right before the game. And Keenum, in for the injured Sam Bradford, didn't exactly make the most of his first start of 2017, going 20-35 for 167 yards. It's an ominous sign for Bradford, who has undergone countless surgeries on his troublesome left knee.

Vikings quarterback Sam Bradford moved with a little more bounce in his step during the 15 opening minutes of Thursday's practice before reporters were booted. He completed 84.4 percent of his passes against the Saints, with 346 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions.

FELDMAN: We said it from the time Bradford was acquired that his body could crack at any point.

What this means in the short term is that Case Keenum, who was terrible last week, will get the start for the second week in a row.

"I think Art was just nervous that it would be a burden to me or to whoever carried it".

Vikings coach Mike Zimmer, though, isn't pointing any fingers at Cook entering Sunday's game against Tampa Bay at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Working on footwork was probably simpler for me than doing the things I needed to learn to do with the racket". Sometimes being yourself means hurting good people, that's why it's so hard. "It feels so good ".

St Louis police face growing criticism over protest tactics

Rohingya crisis: Last chance for Suu Kyi, says UN
Myanmar's de facto leader Aung San Suu Kyi has condemned " human rights violations and unlawful violence" in Rakhine state. Many of those gathered in Ottawa were demanding the Liberal government strip Suu Kyi of her honorary Canadian citizenship.

There's just that small problem of getting on the field and playing.

But while there is no direct good news in any of Friday's Bradford updates, there is at least this that could come from a second opinion: A better chance at some sort of clarity on this injury and the associated timetable for recovery.

Bradford said he's planning to test the knee in practice Wednesday. In a 35-year span since the 1982 strike, the Vikings have enjoyed such 16-game security in only seven seasons, with Warren Moon (1995) and Daunte Culpepper (2000, 2002 and 2004) also on the list.

Throughout the week, Minnesota preached the need to start games faster, regardless of who's under center.

One play later, the Vikings scored.

Linebacker Bud Dupree found out Case Keenum was replacing Bradford later than most. In his first action as a Viking on Sunday, he averaged only 4.5 yards per attempt and, about as expected, had a mid-60s passer rating. "If it is something that lingers and we have to deal with it, then we'll figure out the best approach on how to manage it". While it remains to be seen how long Bradford's knee will ail him, one thing the Vikings don't have to worry about on offense is the play of rookie running back Dalvin Cook. The Buccaneers were a trendy NFC pick this offseason and while they did play the lousy Chicago Bears in their opener, they showed why many people were hyping them up. "I'm going to get better this week in practice and go out and play hard again". Howard was one of the cleanest players in the draft in terms of his production and character.
