Julianne Moore told by Colin Firth about villain role in Kingsman 2

The Golden Circle is still an hellaciously violent outing, but Vaughn keeps the tone appropriately cartoonish and light throughout. In the upcoming sequel, the group will encounter a new challenge as the Kingsman HQ is destroyed and the world deals with a new evil organization, the Golden Circle, led by its insane leader Poppy.

If you liked the over the top nature of the first movie, this one goes much further, with more blood, more superlative impossible stunts and even more risqué comedy. He added that he could see all of them going over there and having some fantastic food and making a film there. If that doesn't get your blood pumping, not sure what will. Also, look for Elton John as he is featured in the movie for the funniest movie cameo you'll ever see. Because it's the whole driving force of the first act and if you didn't know that scene it would've made the whole audience gasp.

With their headquarters destroyed and the world held hostage by a villainous drug lord (Julianne Moore), members of Kingsman find new allies when they discover a spy organisation in the United States known as Statesman.

Robbie Collin from The Telegraph UK expressed that despite the big Hollywood powerhouse casting of the "Kingsman" sequel, the word "slog" would not do justice to it. Collin then gave the movie a low rating - one star out of five.

There is also his romantic life that hangs in the balance, but it is handled in such a messy way that it is never truly satisfying. Vaughn told SYFY WIRE that a return to more tactile filmmaking is coming to cinema, which seems counter-intuitive when you consider the overload of CGI at the local multiplex nowadays. Hardly indistinguishable from the variety of great gadgets Eggy uses throughout the film.

A mountain sequence is redolent of The Spy Who Loved Me and the globe-trotting antics feel piled on, and while the overload is threatening at times, there are moments and characters within that work extremely well.

The action and the storytelling bowls along in a way that at least fills that two-hour-and-20-minute running time to bursting, stopping off at various locations - Switzerland, Sweden, Kentucky and the bottom of a lake in a London park - to stage a succession of mostly pretty good set pieces. The action is easy to follow, highly entertaining and equally satisfying, but nothing to replace that of the church scene from the first.

Now imagine that level of craziness multiplied by about 200% and you have that film's follow-up, Kingsman: The Golden Circle. "And actually, weirdly, a lot of it was material that we had wanted to include in the first film", she says. "We couldn't have been more grateful for what an incredible trouper and what a amusing guy Elton John is, and he completely got what was amusing about it and went with it and was improvising a lot of stuff that was even better than we could have dreamed".
