Glennon says he doesn't fear losing Bears starting QB job

Glennon says he doesn't fear losing Bears starting QB job

It's also available on the WGN Radio app, iTunes and the TuneIn app. But jobs are on the line in the National Football League every week and being patient with Glennon to keep Trubisky off the field could cost Fox his job. The Bears committed 4 turnovers Sunday, and that's a hole that any team would have a hard time getting out of. "Not just Mike Glennon, our whole team". What did they do deserve all that awfulness? Glennon lost this game before the team really had a chance.

However, his quick learning and play during the exhibition season moved the kid up to the No. 2 slot in the depth chart, so perhaps those feelings have been altered somewhat.

Mike Glennon, who has started both of the first two games, can surely feel the heat from everyone outside of the organization. The only question is when. But the Bears aren't ready to start him.

The Vikings have a stingy defense in particular, which can help add to the benchmark to find out whether this week's performance was the real Bucs, or assisted by a Bears team still trying to figure things out.

"I've never seen the same injury to two guys back-to-back like that", said outside linebacker Willie Young.

Despite a 29-7 pounding at the hands of the Buccaneers in Week 2 of the 2017 National Football League season, the 0-2 Bears are standing by quarterback Mike Glennon.

Watching the Buccaneers yesterday really made something clear to me. It's only been two games. And one of the players they've had their eye on just happens to be an old college teammate and favorite target of Mitch Trubisky. It wasn't a ideal game, but the Buccaneers committed just one turnover and four penalties and were in control from start to finish. "Like I said earlier, everybody had their hand in that". Their offense is severely limited with him. And it's also fair to wonder whether playing Trubisky is the best way to develop him for the long-term. If I had to play Trubisky soon, it would be in Week 5.

Will Trubisky play when the Chicago Bears host the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 3 at Soldier Field? "I'm sure there's two or three plays like everybody there, and same with the coaches, that you'd like to have back".

Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky has big fan in Big Ben

The Bucs' next home game, October 1 against the Giants, just got a little more interesting from a broadcast standpoint. Facing the Packers' defense on a short week actually sounds more appealing to me. Glennon can't throw. He has screwed up the passing game and the running game, just by being himself.

If you are a Bucs fan, this is very good news. Not only are key players out, but the depth chart is getting thin too. He failed because he was bad. Specifically, isn't that more or less the same scouting report on Tanner Gentry right now: an nearly entirely vertical receiver without top-notch speed or quickness?

"We have so many new pieces, but I don't have any doubts about us putting it all together". Here are some bold predictions that could do that if they come to fruition. You don't believe me?

Even if the Bears were at full strength, this would be a tough spot to start a rookie quarterback.

The talented young receiver's physical ability can not be denied, but the Bears would have to look past some potential concerns related to off-the-field issues. Every quarterback's development is unique in itself.

What were they thinking? You think Glennon is going to beat the Steelers? As of right now, the only home run hitter on offense is Tarik Cohen.

Well the first victory Monday of the season has come and gone. It's inevitable. But the Bears' patient process with Trubisky demands patience from everyone - fans, media, players and so on. But he is clearly more talented than Glennon and should be able to get the most out of this motley crew of wideouts the Bears have assembled. But it's the reality right now.

Best and worst from Patriots' victory over Saints

LEADING OFF: Indians aim for 23rd win in row, Price to 'pen
Miller has pitched to a 1.65 ERA and 79 strikeouts in 54.2 innings, but the Indians have done quite well without him. Incredibly, the Indians have hit more home runs (40) than their pitchers have given up in total runs.
