Thousands Chant 'New York Hates You' As Trump Returns To NYC

Donald Trump arrived in New York City on Monday morning for a number of high-profile meetings-but his homecoming wasn't exactly the celebration most presidents receive upon returning to their local districts.

Critics denounced Trump for waiting too long to address the bloodshed, and for initially faulting hatred and violence "on many sides," rather than singling out the white supremacists widely seen as instigating the melee.

She said she was bothered by the Republican president's response to the white supremacist rally that descended into violence Saturday in Virginia. "Trump the racist has to go", the crowd sang, some holding up giant balloon letters in gold that read "FU TRUMP".

The statue was then bent and stomped upon, gloriously.

Carl Dix, one of the initiators of Refuse Fascism, told Mic that Monday night's protest had been organized as a direct reaction to the events in Charlottesville, which he said were a "direct outgrowth of the Trump/Pence fascist regime".

These protests are ongoing and this post will be updated to reflect new developments. "I think I have white privilege; I need to put my body on the line", Kirkpatrick said.

New York City is, famously, a liberal bastion (with the notable exception of the borough of Staten Island).

It's all the brainchild of New York City-based BravinLee art gallery owners John Lee and his wife Karin Bravin, who view Trump as "unprepared" to lead.

Make a lot of pars and get to a par-5 or one of those short par 4s, I can do my wedge game and get it to 10 or 12 feet. And it was on his mind Friday at Quail Hollow when he was outside the cut line and running out of holes.

Having notched a second century in successive matches, Pujara reached close of play 128 not out, alongside Rahane (103 no). A few minutes before the stumps, wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha took a stunning catch to dismiss Mendis on Pandya's delivery.

Tom Brady delivers encouraging message to Jordan Spieth at The Open
He never said anything, so good on him, I suppose. "I think it has to do with I'm very confident with how I'm hitting it". He will tote along his 8-for-his-last-9 record when leading after 54 holes, with that Masters the oddball in the bunch.

But it wasn't enough to pacify angry New Yorkers who flooded Fifth Ave. "In this city, there are millions of people who detest what he stands for".

Trump, who is now on what he has called a "working vacation", is due to spend two nights in his Trump Tower apartment. Supporters shouted "God bless President Trump".

Three people were arrested amid the protests at Trump Tower Monday evening, the NYPD said. The anti-Trump protesters, to him, are "left-wing, liberal Communist snowflakes".

The latest events in Charlottesville, the fact that authorities had to declare a state of emergency, and the initial reluctance from Trump to condemn the white supremacist movement over the incidents, show that the U.S.is stepping into a new era of racial conflict and supremacist agitation. "It is 2017. The goddamn Klan and Nazis are murdering in the streets and Donald Trump did not say shit about it for days".

In Maumee, Ohio, a suburb about 10 miles southwest of Toledo, about 100 protesters gathered outside St. Paul's Church to denounce racism, CNN affiliate WTVG reported.

"They just threw this girl on the floor", said Gia Greer, running away from the crowd.

David Harold, 35, a security guard from the Bronx, said the weekend was "a new low" for the nation.
