Wife of alleged Virginia shooter: 'I can't believe he did this'

The opposing sides are paying tribute to Rep. Steve Scalise, the House majority whip who was critically wounded when a gunman opened fire at a Republican baseball practice in Virginia on Wednesday. Police determined that Hodgkinson had been "living out of his vehicle in the vicinity of East Monroe [Avenue]" in Alexandria, FBI special agent in charge Tim Slater said.

The investigation is focused on IL and the scene of the attack in Virginia.

Congressional shooter James Hodgkinson had in his pocket a list containing the names of three Republican congressmen when he was shot, according to reports published Friday.

"He wanted to go up there and work with people to change the tax brackets", she said.

This poster released by the Federal Bureau of Investigation asks for information on James T. Hodgkinson of Belleville, Ill.

Hodgkinson volunteered on Vermont Sen. There's obviously considerable overlap between Sanders supporters and Democrats who are especially preoccupied with the Russian Federation scandal, but Sanders himself has been critical of the focus many in the party have placed on the issue.

The Democrats won the game 11 to 2. Ted Cruz. In all, 28,459 votes were cast in the GOP presidential primary.

Posts from previous year show he was adamantly opposed to Clinton, and, after the election, to President Donald Trump.

She also says she didn't want to discuss her husband's politics.

Tom Reis has owned the popular T.R.'s Place about a mile from Hodgkinson's home since 1997.

The Hodgkinsons had been married nearly 30 years.

The FBI said the shooter's white van has been processed. Sanders, of course, has said nothing of the sort; the best examples Alcindor can present as to Sanders" apparently violence-inciting rhetoric is that he "called President Trump a "demagogue" and said recently that he was "perhaps the worst and most risky president in the history of our country'". "I think that his risk of death right now is substantially lower than when he came in. he was as critical as you can be when he came in". At another point: "I'm sorry that he did this but there's just nothing I can do about it". "It's getting more known".

Doubt, however, has been cast on that explanation because of cryptic testimony from former FBI Director James Comey last week. The obstruction of justice investigation into Trump began days after Comey was sacked on May 9, the Post said.

Gunman who shot top GOP congressman had history of arrests
Police in Alexandria, Va., said five people were provided medical transport and that a suspect was in custody. But I didn't take a picture of him and I heard somebody yell 'Get in the dugout!' And, the gunfire rang out.

The charities are the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Washington, Washington Literacy Center, the Washington Nationals Dream Foundation and, after Wednesday's shooting, the Capitol Police Memorial Fund.

The local Chamber of Commerce plans to hold roundtable discussions to advise companies and jobseekers of opportunities in the industry.

"I know he wasn't happy with the way things were going, the election results and stuff", the shooter's brother told the newspaper.

Among the goods produced in the Belleville area are medical equipment, flooring equipment, military boots and gas stoves, she added.

Suzanne Hodgkinson was visibly shaken during the interview as she was escorted by St. Clair Deputy Chief Rick Wagner. She told reporters her husband left IL for D.C.in March to go work on taxes and that he talked a lot about politics in his daily life.

Thursday afternoon, Hodgkinson's wife, Suzanne Hodgkinson, took questions from reporters.

"I can't believe he did this", she said, visibly upset. His only contact with the 66-year-old was returning a saddlebag that fell off Hodgkinson's Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Hodgkinson, who works in the tax business herself, didn't seem to know how to elaborate on his apparent mission.

Before James Hodgkinson left his home in Belleville, Ill., in March, he sold almost everything he owned from his businesses. According to The Daily Caller, who first reported on the list, names included Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL), Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-SC) and Rep. Trent Franks (R-AZ).

Several other people were also injured in Wednesday's shooting before Scalise's security detail and other police officers gunned down the assailant, who later died.

That means some of the folks in Valmeyer, about 28 miles southwest of Belleville, remember all too well the media spotlight their neighbors went through last week.

Throughout the day, Alexandria residents who had had chance encounters with him continued to look back on them.
