Finals pick up where they left off with Cavs-Warriors III

This year's NBA Finals is historic, as the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers are meeting for the third straight year on June 1. We are a better Cavaliers team and they are a better Warriors team but what does that mean?

The Draymond Green suspension allowed the Cavaliers to capture momentum and become the first team in NBA history to come back from a 3-1 deficit in the NBA Finals. The burgeoning rivalry between the two teams will be the dominant Finals narrative after conference playoffs that saw increased viewership from previous year.

Legacies will be on the line in this series.

Add the Warriors hyper focus after blowing a 3-1 lead in the Finals a season ago, and a top 5 player in Kevin Durant, it's easy to see why Vegas oddsmakers have Golden State as a -260 favorite.

The Kevin Love of last year's National Basketball Association finals and the Kevin Love of this year's playoffs are two different players. The Cavaliers face the Golden State Warriors in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday in Oa. "It will be a massive upset if they're not there each and every year".

LeBron James tops Michael Jordan as all-time playoffs scoring leader
It was a very welcomed sight in Irving's case, after he rolled his left ankle in the third quarter of Cleveland's Game 4 win. Kyrie deserves so much credit not only for his absurd abilities and scoring prowess, but because he is so, so clutch .

LeBron James Tops NBA's All-Time Playoff Scoring List, Cavs Beat Celtics
The NBA and NHL finals were set Thursday night after the defending champions from both leagues advanced to the championship round. But they displayed their superiority over the final two games to wrap up the series . "It's been a high-scoring year throughout".

Gogoi said he made repeated requests to the crowd, including women and children, to stop stone pelting but they didnt stop. Gogoi said, "Over 1,200 people had surrounded the polling station and were trying to burn it down with petrol bombs".

Kevin Durant #35 of the Golden State Warriors dunks the ball in the first half against the San Antonio Spurs during Game Four of the 2017 NBA Western Conference Finals at AT&T Center on May 22, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas.

The Warriors and Cavaliers are two competitive teams and what makes this final even more special is the presence of superstars in both the camps who will take to the court.

LeBron James (5,995 PTS) is five points away from becoming the first player in National Basketball Association postseason history to reach 6,000 career playoff points. Between JR Smith, Kyle Korver, and Deron Williams, someone will have to come through when they are inevitably left open when Irving and James draw all the attention. Everyone expected these two teams to get here once again, especially after Kevin Durant made the decision to join the Warriors in the off-season. "I did everything possible to put myself in a position to feel at least as close to 80 percent, or as close to 90 percent as I could going into that game, knowing the possibility that I could further injure my knee". In Game 7, a 95-88 victory in Miami, he scored 37 points.

"... Being a competitor, you want to be able to help your team win and be a factor and I've gotten the opportunity and I'm blessed to do that (with the Warriors)". The Cavs won the title with defense last season. "That's the only pressure I worry about", said Durant. Given his assignments, Thompson's potential foul trouble could be a stat to watch as the series goes on. The Cavaliers face the Golden State Warriors in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday. To be sure, this will be a back and forth series, but the Warriors have all the weapons to take home the 2017 title with the depth of their bench, their consistency of play, and their cohesion as a team.
