Cavs ignore last year's comeback after another 0-2 hole

Again, Lue and the Cavs were dealt a harsh lesson: Quicken the game against the Warriors at your own peril.

The Warriors won their first title in 40 years in 2015, downing an injury-hit Cleveland squad, and won a record 73 regular-season games the following campaign. That built on the extreme pace of Game 1, which was 102.5.

Despite rumors of his return swirling around Warriors practice on Saturday, Kerr's status remained a mystery until just hours before Game 2.

It was Curry's backcourt mate, Klay Thompson, who came closest to writing an easy column for me. We get a chance to go home now to our home crowd, where we play well also. "We have to figure out a way to get him going early". The Cavs have been better when playing with tempo throughout the postseason.

Cleveland overcame a 3-1 deficit in last year's Finals and will have to overcome a 2-0 one this year as the Finals shift back to OH for Wednesday's Game 3.

Steve Kerr has a great record with the Warriors and has guided them to the National Basketball Association finals in the three seasons he spent as their head coach. They were 25-9 when that number topped 99. It was that level of leeway that was the basis of Golden State's pitch to Durant when the team met with him in free agency last July in the Hamptons. Their offense is constant movement, so you got to be locked in, you can't take a peek somewhere and lose your man. The Cavs had 60 points in the paint on 57 shot attempts.

They have to do it quickly or Cavs-Warriors III could end up being a much shorter series than the first two editions of the Finals trilogy that the teams split.

Though those three percentages aren't held up the same way for individual games, it turns out they're equally rare and impressive. That was, in part, fueled by 20 Warriors turnovers.

Pulling out of Paris climate accord best for US
The country, she said, is prepared to "aggressively participate in the worldwide climate governance". Earth last', that will hurt everyone - Americans included".

China vows to stick to Paris climate deal
French President Emmanuel Macron on Thursday categorically ruled out any renegotiation of the Paris climate accord and said U.S. Mark Warner, also a Democrat, called the decision "a historic mistake" that will undermine America's position in the world.

Lebanese ministry calls for ban of Wonder Woman movie
One of the key villains in this Friday's Wonder Woman is that of General Ludendorff, brought to life by Danny Huston. And I think that it's an important movie not only for women and girls, but it's also great for boys and men.

"I'm not going to take a step back", Kevin Durant said. "The trade went down and to get picked up and be where I wanted to be the whole time, it's an wonderful experience, and we've got a couple of more games to finish up". We can't give up 23 points off our turnovers.

"There's an old saying, 'You don't miss the water 'til the well runs dry, '" the 80-year-old Attles said after receiving the Chuck Daly Lifetime Achievement Award.

"People forget in the period where Kevin was out he was really good for us", said Warriors general manager Bob Myers. "There is a lot of work for us left to do".

The series moves to Cleveland on Wednesday.

More help from his teammates would go a long way too. Thompson played in his 78th postseason, most in franchise history. They know how to get up and down the floor. Los Angeles swept Portland in a five-game first round series, then won four straight against Sacramento and San Antonio to enter the Finals against Philadelphia undefeated.

"We'll win the next game and see what happens from there", said Cavs forward Tristan Thompson, who might be pulled from the starting lineup to add more scoring punch and defensive versatility.

But after being so close previous year and falling short, the Warriors know how hard the next two will be. But despite the record, the 76ers didn't blow teams out like the Warriors have. With Durant, there is no wearing out this group. He forced the Cavaliers to adjust to the Warriors. He attended the pregame news conference Sunday and said he had not yet told his players that he would be back coaching, though said they knew in recent days that he was improving.

"We know, trust me, we know".
