Winter Snow Storm Causing Capital Region School Closures, Travel Restrictions

A blizzard warning was in effect for parts of Long Island, while a winter storm warning was issued for New York City, parts of Hudson Valley, Connecticut and New Jersey.

A powerful winter storm is predicted to hammer the heavily-populated Northeast Corridor, from Philadelphia to Boston, with blinding snow and howling winds Thursday.
