'The Walking Dead' Midseason Premiere Recap: All the Help We Can Get

'The Walking Dead' Midseason Premiere Recap: All the Help We Can Get

Before the midseason premiere, The Hollywood Reporter spoke with Walking Dead showrunner Scott M. Gimple about what's in store for Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and the rest of the Alexandrians in the back half of season seven.

Next week's episode will surely delve into some of the questions left hanging. Next week, a brand new episode will be given to the viewers and fans, along with newest revelations for this season. They also need guns, but he is taking it one step at a time.

The plot! After rolling their eyes at Gregory's bitchy "I'm not getting involved" schtick, some much more awesome Hilltoppers are all about signing up to fight. "Remarkably through the trauma they've gone through, they can smile again". Surrounded, Rick throws his hands up.and smiles.

The slow pace of the first half of episode 9 only made fans wish to skip the part and move to some exciting action. Here's how it played out.

The first half of season 7 wrapped up a year ago with our gang being reunited, and all of them having their unique reasons for wanting to fight back. Only his trusted confidantes, and Morgan, and Carol, and Jesus and now Rick and the gang, know that he gives the Saviors supplies. He wouldn't just leave Alexandria without reason. In fact, it should have left you feeling - oh, I don't know - the exact opposite of the premiere at the start of the season. A road trip ensues, leading to. Rick's face when he's called King Ezekiel is priceless. With multiple members of the cast involved in time-consuming new projects (Sonequa Martin-Green has joined the new Star Trek, Corey Hawkins is holding down 24 and Chandler Riggs is headed to college, just to name a few), the stage is set for some of your faves not to survive to see season 8. However, in "Rock in the Road", he's not quite there yet, though with some convincing, he should be on Team Rick in no time. She's happy-ish right now.

Ezekiel invites the group to stay until morning when he will give his decree. I mean, I know they want to go to war with the Saviors, but I feel like at this point, "THEY TOOK EUGENE, DAMMIT" should be the lead-in with every sales pitch.

Much more than Main Street divided two lines of protesters south of the La Salle County courthouse Saturday. A sea of pink flooded downtown Bloomington with signs held by both men and women sharing the same message.

Winter Storm Warning, Advisory in effect Thursday morning until 4 pm
Flight cancellations in the NY metro area and other northeastern states began Wednesday as the storm approached the region. Many people reported thunder snow across the state - which, while possible during heavy snowfall, is a rare occurrence.

3 reasons why Liverpool will finish in the Premier League's top four
Liverpool's record with that pair starting is eight wins and three draws out of 11, but only five wins out of 13 without them. If Liverpool don't finish in the top four and have no trophy to show at the end of the season - it's a disappointment.

'And you told her?' Ezekiel asked. It seems Alexandria is about to meet a brand new community.

What comes right after is just downright dumb, though, as Rick and Michonne are for some reason forced to push and shove their way through the next wave of the herd to get back to the auto. Just in time for Valentine's Day, our favorite loving couple not only had to maintain similar speed, but also distance from each other as they kept the cable taut and sliced through hundreds of corpses like a knife through softened butter. Luckily, Rosita knows exactly how to disarm a bomb.

Plus Rick is resourceful and quick-thinking - remember how he and Michonne tore through that walker herd?

As soon as Rick returns to Alexandria, Simon (Steven Ogg) and the Saviors show up looking for Daryl. Daryl is back! Carol threatening kids is back! Even if that was the case, why would Gabriel deplete Alexandria's resources in the process? Rick's all like, "Good idea", and Daryl is like, "Why does everybody treat me like shit?"

Rick may have inadvertently put themselves and other communities in danger by stealing the dynamite sticks set up on the road.
