The man is a Malaysian citizen, named by police as 26-year-old Muhammad Farid Bin Jalaluddin, is said by police to be the boyfriend of a female suspect who was arrested a few hours later, an allegedly Indonesian woman who documents identified as Siti Aishah. A third male suspect, the Malaysian friend of the female detainee, was also taken into custody, the Associated Press reported.

The Inspector-General of Police said that based the suspect's passport, the woman was from Nam Dinh, Vietnam and was detained in connection with the death of a Korean man on Monday.
